Affiliate Disclosure
What an affiliate link is
Many of the links on Deal Workbench are affiliate links. That means if you click one and buy something, the retailer pays this site a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you'd gone to the retailer directly. You are not charged anything extra, and the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your wallet.
Who this site is affiliated with
Deal Workbench participates in affiliate programs with Acme Tools, KC Tool, Amazon Associates, and Home Depot's installation program. Product links on this site may point to any of these retailers, and installation-service links may point to Home Depot's installation program.
What the commissions fund
This is a one-person operation, and watching tool prices across four retailers, checking price histories, and writing buying guides takes real hours. Affiliate commissions are what make that sustainable. Without them, this site would either be plastered with display ads or wouldn't exist.
No pay-to-play, period
This is the part that matters most. No brand, manufacturer, or retailer can pay for:
- a better ranking in any buying guide,
- a recommendation they don't deserve,
- a slot in a deal roundup,
- a softer review or a buried con.
Recommendations are written first, on the merits. Affiliate links are attached after, to wherever the price is best. If a tool is bad, it doesn't get recommended, even if the commission would be generous.
Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate, Deal Workbench earns from qualifying purchases made through Amazon links on this site.
The short version
If a link here helps you buy a tool you wanted anyway, the site earns a small thank-you from the retailer, at no cost to you, and that money keeps the price tracking going. That's the whole deal, and I'll keep it that honest.
